We love candy!!!

A good Halloween was had by all! I suspect that we'll be eating Halloween candy until Easter. (Not -- I'll have it licked by 3:45 tomorrow... ;) ) Not too much to tell this week -- the pictures really say it all! Hope your sugar rush was a good one too. See you next week!

Last week we had the 2005 inaugural viewing of "The Year Without a Santa Claus". We are a bit late getting started this year....

Discussing the track layout while playing trains Friday morning.

We spend a LOT of time honing our lightsaber skills around here.

The jedi master and his young padawan...

Taking a little rest between battles.

Two darth vaders?

Cole's school visits the assisted living center to trick or treat each year. Now...I kid you not...this picture is of Cole saying "trick-or-treat, smell my feet, etc. etc" to this poor lady...

The 3 D's....Dragon, Devil and Darth...

This is really a cute little devil...

Cole and Hayley headed out to trick-or-treat...yeah candy!!! See you next week.

All the monkeys aren't in the zoo...

Hello all! We had a fun week. Wednesday we caught what's seeming like the last nice day of the year and took a trip down to the national zoo. The boys loved it -- and I think Hayley was pretty intrigued too! It was a wonderful day.

The rain came Thursday and hung on right through Saturday night. Friday we spent the day with Adam and hit the pool and saw Star Wars II -- now Cole has seen all 6 of them.

Not too much else to tell. We're gearing up for Halloween festivities. I'll probably post on Monday evening/Tuesday morning next week to catch it all. See ya!

Cole and Adam at the zoo.

Hayley and Andrew, too!

Adam's definition of heaven...

Two monkeys...

Cole stopping to smother his sister with affection (as usual...)

Well...we were in Washington, D.C., so we decided to see the guy at the top. This one can pronounce nuclear, though...

What's that wet feeling on the back of Cole's neck?

Sweet girl...

The fantastic four... Who's the Thing?

Headed for the pool on a rainy Friday.

Cole's photography skills are improving. Too bad his subjects aren't...

Hayley dons her new sweater from Grandmom.

Cole wanted to include some artwork for you this week. The next Picasso, right? See you next week! Posted by Picasa

We all need a nap today!

The weather has finally broken and it was a good weekend here. John finally got the new car. He's having some signs of withdrawal -- missing the Dodge Neon rental that he became so fond of these past weeks. But, nevertheless, he's adjusting. Note about the picture...you can be CERTAIN that Cole is not actually leaning on the car.

Saturday John coached the Cougar soccer game. Wish I'd had my camera for that one! Saturday finished with Cole and his best bud Adam having their first sleepover. They had a great time!

Not too much this week...but Halloween's just around the corner! Get ready!

Cole poses by the new wheels.

Watching Sunday morning cartoons after a great 1st sleepover.

Hayley's slow to wake up this morning!

Taking after Cole with the artistic abilities!

Cole and Adam - best buddies!

We found her on the Nile...we're still in a bit of denial.

Let my people go.... If Moses could shriek like Hayley, they would have gladly done so. See you next week. Posted by Picasa

The rain in Spain may fall mainly on the plain...

...but here in Clarksville it just makes a big pond in the back yard. Know where we can get some koi? Not too much to report this week -- except tons of rain. They think we got over 11 inches in total here. So much for that pesky little drought.

Friday evening we had a visit from Hayley's friend Lily and her parents, Stuart and Marcy. Saturday soccer was cancelled, so most of the pictures are from our afternoon couped up in the basement on Saturday.

The last picture needs some explanation. We've been reading about King Arthur this week -- that is the genesis of this week's costume. We've learned all about Arthur, Guenivere, Lancelot, Merlin, the Holy Grail, the Lady of the Lake, the Fisher King, etc. Actually somewhat interesting for me too. Imagine that...

Barb the Builder.

Dang it. This guy is taking too long on his turn!

Finally!

Hayley's waiting eagerly for the Penn State game. Did you know she can already chant "We Are...Penn State!"? Say it with us..."Da Da...Da Da!" She's gifted.

Taking a short break.

Can you hear me now?

Subtle hints by the children for a family vacation?

Bouncing off the walls on a rainy day -- at least these walls are inflatable plastic!

Off to meet his peeps at the round table. King Arthur and Excalibur will catch you next week. Posted by Picasa

This old man.

Happy birthday to John! He's officially made it half way through his thirties. We're all breathing a sigh of relief that his 1/3 life crisis should now be over and we've got about a decade before the mid-life crisis sets in.

We had a good weekend. Went to "Highland Days" with our friends Matthew and Ms. Pam. It was fun until the horse we were petting sneezed. Let's just say...you may think it's funny but itsnot. Horse snot, that is.

We finished Saturday with a family trip to Benihana! (Yes, you heard correct.) Cole had hibachi chicken and dipped it in the ginger sauce and loved it. It was great and the kids did awesome!

Not too much today for John's celebration. Just lots and lots of chocolate mousse! Enjoy your week!

Hayley's just gonna sit here until she's big enough to ride in a booster seat in the car...yeah right...

Hellooooo...

Happy birthday Daddy! John opens his present from Cole.

A masterpiece indeed! Three Power Rangers in the city.

Cole is pointing out the details.

Hayley just likes the wrapping paper, of course.

Daddy's girl. Sorry this one is blurry - it would've been cute.

Hey -- who turned out the lights?

Bye Bye! See you next week! Posted by Picasa
