kotton kandy kids!

Summer must be here! We've managed to have cotton candy twice in 10 days!!! We had fun at the fair in town. Hayley and Cole bounced in the moon bounce. Hayley got Pooh painted on her arm while Cole played some games. Then -- OF COURSE -- the cotton candy! Hayley managed to win the "bet on your birthday" game and got a stuffed animal dog that she decided to share with Sammy. He's thrilled... HAHA.

We also did the usual -- errands, dress up and tinker toys. Hope you had a good weekend too!

Waiting for the moon bounce...

POOH on her arm!
The loot.
"Sharing" with Sammy...Hmmmm.

Life's a Beach...

Just a few pictures this week. We had a nice visit with Gram and Grandad this weekend. We visited the ocean on Saturday for the day and the kids had lots of fun. (Although I think John has met his quota for time spent in the sand for this century...)

Hope everyone had a wonderful father's day! And, a big happy birthday to Grandpa this past Saturday!

A Whale of a Good Time!

These weeks are marking the end of a lot of good things for us! Cole is finishing up school and was the whale's tail in his class performance. He delighted the crowd by hiding behind the tail then sticking his head out the end. Looks like we may have a obstetrician in our midst? Uh - probably not...

This weekend was also his last lacrosse game. We also spent Saturday celebrating an early birthday and father's day with Grandpa (and Grandmom too!) at the lake festival. We enjoyed some music, arts, and fun. The evening was capped off with a fit by Hayley. An Australian troupe that performs on flexible poles about 15-20 feet in the air was the last act of the night. Hayley spent the entire time (and repeatedly since) shrieking that she was afraid "the princesses (the women wore long hoop skirts) were going to fall." Who knew she had that kind of empathy?

Also - a belated Happy Birthday to Uncle Rory! Enjoy the week!

Enjoying the laughs from the crowd.

A class song. Cole is notorius for lack-luster participation in these things...

The class.

Fidgeting.

It must be summer!

Last week brought the heat! Hayley had her good-bye party at school on Thursday. Her classmates will be moving on to the next room without Hayley next week since she will only being staying at school a couple more weeks. They had a fun, but hot, party to celebrate!

Friday we had some quick slip-n-slide fun after school. Saturday we hit the gym in the morning and watched Cole's lacrosse game at noon. Saturday night we had fun with Stuart, Marcy and Lily.

Hayley lunching with her pals for the last time...

How does she really feel about it?

It's hot - so the hair goes up...

And the glasses on. Enough pictures ma!

We love to slip and slide!

Fun in the sun...

Pretty soon they'll be texting each other.
