Waiting for the bunny....

Spring has finally sprung here. This weekend we went to a local Easter egg hunt. See pics below. The kids had fun and especially enjoyed a few jelly beans. This was a particular treat since our dentist called the Easter bunny and said "no jelly beans!" this year...bad for the teeth -- chocolate only. (Mom is bummed...)

We've enjoyed a few nice days too and have started heading out to the playgrounds more regularly. Monday Cole started lacrosse too. (Sorry GG -- no baseball this year... we're trying lacrosse instead.) I'll bring my camera along next time. It's pretty funny!

Happy birthday to Grandmom, friend Andrew and K-Fed who all share birthdays on 3/21. Who knew? We also hope Aunt Rebekah had a nice birthday this past weekend!

See ya!

Hayley's first recital. ;)

Keeping a close eye on big brother at the Easter party.

Her bunny hat... Cole was too cool to do this one.

More junk coming into Mom's house. When will it end????

The hunt...

The loot.

Beware -- this is pretty long -- over 2 minutes. It's Easter party footage -- not too interesting -- so if you are on a dial up connection, skip it...

Typical Hayley. She was NOT wearing the blindfold. Not sure if she was concerned it would mess up her hair...or perhaps she just prefers the 80s'ish headband look? See you next week!

ROAR!

Mom and Dad had a nice trip to ski out west for a couple of days two weeks ago. Thanks so much to Grandmom and Grandpa for taking care of Cole and Hayley while we were away. They had fun playing in the snow and going to the circus(ROAR!) while we were away.

Last week we had a touch of spring -- enjoying temps that even reached the 80's and our first visit from the ice cream truck! Now winter is back in full force (ROAR)!

Friday was our own little lion's birthday (ROAR!). Sammy is now 8 years old! (That's 56 in people years -- so he should be getting mail from AARP any day now.)

A big happy birthday this weekend to cousin Kirk who turned 3 years old! It was also St. Patrick's Day -- see our breakfast celebration below -- green biscuits!

And in the funniest "ROAR" story of the week.... Hayley and mom were shopping for groceries Sunday. Hayley is at that "uncensored" age -- pointing and shouting VERY embarrassing things to people. (I guess she should enjoy it at 2, because the next time she'll be able to do this will be at age 102...) In the store, Hayley points and says in a rather loud voice -- "THAT LADY IS WEARING A LION!!!" (It was a full length, orangish/brownish fur coat.) Needless to say I bolted out of that aisle so fast I'm not sure if the lady heard her...

Anyway, that's too much text -- so enjoy the pics...

Here's John on the trail between Alta and Snowbird.

Hayley enjoys some nice weather and outside time!

Happy Birthday Sammy!!!

Green biscuits...

Cole's new passion -- Pokemon and YugiOh cards. See you next week!

Hair today...gone tomorrow!

We had a great week this time! We started off last weekend with a little snowstorm. It was brief, though, so by the evening it was raining.... This weekend we took in the Diego show with Lily and Marcy (the boys played mini-golf). Hayley keeps talking about how much fun she had!!! Sunday was a busy day with lots of errands. AND...today Hayley had her first big girl haircut at the salon. (It's pretty pitiful how little hair they actually cut off...poor girl). But she loved it! She watched Dora while they cut her hair and got a big girl headband and a yellow lollipop as prizes at the end. (I suspect they usually give a free barrette but she doesn't have enough hair for that???) Anyway, the headband is sort of big for "tiny headed" Hayley, but she's now obsessed with it. I'm sure you'll see it in many future pictures... Enjoy your week!

This was it for pictures at the show before mom got yelled at...

Hayley and Lily sport their masks at lunch for the boys.
Who is this guy?
Hayley's first cut!
Can you believe there was enough hair to use these enormous clips?
The finished product. Blown dry, sprayed and donning the hairband!
