Cousin capers...

This week we finished dinosaur camp. Cole really enjoyed it and especially enjoyed having his friends Adam and Andrew in the camp too. On Thursday evening, Aunt Suzanne, Uncle Peter and Claire arrived for a weekend visit. Lots of pictures from Friday, but not much else. It was great to see them, even if it was quick. Hayley adores her older cousin Claire (as does Cole) and can't wait to see her again in a couple weeks. Stay cool this week!

Three kids -- ready for anything!!!

Summer in full swing!

Well we managed to make it through last week. Cole will likely need a secretary to keep his calendar if he keeps up this pace! Thankfully, I think things are slowing down to managed mania this week... Last week Cole enjoyed space camp in the mornings and his last week of tennis lessons in the afternoon. He also finished up his swim lessons this past week. He went to a class about fossils at the local library and visited the zoo with his friend Matthew on Friday. In between all that, he and Adam managed some buddy time too!

Hayley's having fun too. She enjoyed the trip to the zoo on Friday -- but it was a bit hot. She's enjoying all her playmates at school and she's been lucky to spend time with mom-mom and papa while Cole was at tennis lessons. Unfortunately last night she came down with another bug -- fever, tummy trouble, etc. It was a rough night with only a few hours sleep. But true to Hayley form, by 7:30 this morning she was wanting to run laps around the house with Cole. Hopefully she'll continue to get better.

This week we're looking forward to a visit from Aunt Suzanne, Uncle Peter and cousin Claire! Surely there'll be some good pics from that as well. See you next week!

Girls just wanna have fun!!!

Another wild week is done... Cole had a great time in nature camp (which he calls bug camp...) this week. He also started tennis camp and is continuing swimming lessons. Watch out Andy Roddick --- he's got a pretty mean backhand!!! This week holds another packed schedule for Cole -- and we'll try to get more pics of him in action this week.

Saturday we enjoyed a quick visit with John's parents at lunch and a Saturday dinner with Lily, Stuart and Marcy. The girls continue to have more and more fun playing together as time goes by. Sunday we made an early (pre-90 degree) visit to the playground/tennis courts and an afternoon trip to the pool to cool off. Looks like this week will be another hot one. We wish you cool breezes and gatorade for the week ahead! See ya!

Happy Fourth!

Last week Cole enjoyed an art camp in the mornings. The kids learned about different types of sculpture -- and especially how native americans used sculpture to create pots, beads, etc. Cole had a GREAT time and was excited to have the week end with a "gallery showing" for all the families.

This weeked was great -- John took four days and we had lots of fun. We hit fireworks (viewed from the car) on Saturday night. Sunday Cole had a sleepover with Adam and the boys had a great time as usual. Monday we hit the pool to cool off in the afternoon. Tuesday we did the local parade in the morning and had a great 4th.

That's all for now. A quiet week ahead. See you next week!

Cole proudly stands by his work at the art show.

Close up of the work -- the focus was on native american clay work.

They learned the slab, coil, and pinch and pull methods for creating pots.

Hayley is proud of her big brother's work!

Hayley is playing peek-a-boo with Andrew at the pool...

After a good swim lesson...

Just like mommy (notice the glasses on her head just like mom too...).

The boys only hide out -- replete with anti-girl weapon systems. I managed to get a press pass so I could get in to take a pic.

Getting ready for fireworks...

With (LARGE) bag in hand -- ready to collect candy at the parade.

AAAAHHHH....

A refreshing popsicle courtesy of a local realtor... Too bad they weren't handing out courtesy wash cloths after...

The heat has finally gotten to Cole. Happy fourth of July! Posted by Picasa
