A week of ups and downs...mainly ups...

As in...dressing up and throwing up, etc. Yep -- you guessed it...another illness has hit our house. After a fun day of playing on Wednesday, Cole was hit with a bad stomach virus Wednesday night...ALL night! He seems to be on the mend now, but still doesn't have much of an appetite. (So if you know anything about his eating habits, this means he's now eating 4 noodles as his dinner instead of 8...)

On Saturday we had a great visit from Gram and Grandad. Hayley was a little shy at first, but by the afternoon she was so excited to have them here and wished they could stay longer.

So, despite the illness, we've had a good week. Hopefully Hayley and mom will avoid this one! Enjoy your last week of March -- hopefully the nicer weather will hit soon!

I am Sam...Sam I am...

So began our own little March madness! We have so many family birthdays to celebrate this week. First off, Sammy turned 7 years old on Thursday. On Friday we had fun singing the Happy Birthday song again on the phone to cousin Kirk who turned 2. On Sunday we celebrated Grandmom's birthday a couple days early. We'll round out this week with our friend Andrew's (Adam's little brother) birthday on Tuesday and Aunt Rebekah's birthday at week's end. We're really getting good at singing that one!

No too much else to report. A slow week (and illness free...yippee!) and a slow weekend, too! Cole is nearing the end of his skating lessons -- next week is his last. On Sunday we visited Grandpa and Grandmom's for lunch to celebrate her birthday a few days early. Otherwise -- a quiet one! Hope you all have a good week!

Spring sprang?

Well the week ended with a few great days. Can't ask for more in early March! We had fun at our Mommy and Me class at the gym on Monday. We also took in a story time at the library on Wednesday where Cole realized that he was the biggest kid in the class -- guess he won't be wanting to do that again... Friday we had a great morning with Adam and Andrew and other friends at the park. Friday night Cole slept over at Adam's house and had a great time. (Managed to even get 9 hours of sleep -- can you believe it?)

This is a big week around here -- Sammy will turn 7 years old on Thursday. His favorite food is french onion dip -- so have some in his honor that day! He'll have to make do with an extra treat or two...

Also a big shout out to cousin Kirk who will be wiggling his way to 2 years old this Friday. Have a great birthday and a great Wiggles party! See you next week.

Finally - an update on Hayley... Had her 18 month appointment yesterday. We are so happy to report that she's back on track gaining weight. She gained 2 pounds since December and is back up to the 25% mark. She's still in the 50-75% for height. Whew! A relief for sure! She finished off the visit by saying "Bye Bye Doc-tor". (Of course this was after the doctor had left the room - so we didn't get any show-off points...;)

Fun February Finale...

Not too much to report again this week. We have played a lot of dress up, basement basketball, and (of course) light sabers. Cole came down with a bug Thursday but now seems to be on the mend. We left him with Grandpa and Grandmom on Saturday and headed down for dinner with Stuart, Marcy and Lily. We're hoping for a break in the weather this week...so until then....
