Gobble Gobble...

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. We sure did. We spent a couple days with John's family and Cole and Hayley enjoyed catching up with their cousin Claire.

Today was Cole's birthday -- 5 years old now! He celebrated by seeing the new Harry Potter movie and having ice cream cake. Yum. Now he's already looking forward to his sixth birthday.

Hope you have a good week!

Hayley is quite taken with her older cousin Claire.

Working off some turkey...the kids racing laps around the basement on Thanksgiving.

Even Hayley and Baby joined in.

Isn't this a happy crew?

Happy birthday Cole. He's excited to add a green lightsaber to his collection.

Showing off the red and green sabers. Hayley is using the blue one no doubt...

Here's Hayley's newest idea of fun. Running off to climb the stairs when we're not looking. See you next week! Posted by Picasa

A day to remember!!!

Well...the party was a hit. Cole will likely remember this one for a long time...at least we hope! He had a great time with all his buddies. You'll see that each Jedi Padawan was ushered in and issued a Jedi Collection Pak (courtesy of Grandmom's sewing skills) for them to collect their prizes. Then, they each had their picture taken with Yoda.

The party included finding gold for Han Solo to help him repay Jabba the Hut, pin the lightsaber on Darth Vader, beanbag blasting of Darth Maul, rescue Princess Leia balloon pop, battle the Death Star (pinata), make your own lightsaber, etc. The party was capped off with Clone Trooper cakes and a battle in the backyard.

Hayley was sick much of the week, but seems better now. Unfortunately, she's passed it on to Cole -- but at least it held off until after the party! We're looking forward to turkey day at John's family's home. Cole hasn't seen cousin Claire since July, so they'll have fun catching up.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Is this guy desperate or what?

Clone trooper cupcakes!

Getting instructions before battling Darth Maul.

After fighting tooth and nail (a.k.a. using their teeth to pop balloons...yuck) to blast through the evil planets to find Princess Leia, the boys are anxious for the Death Star pinata...

Fighting the Death Star...

Making their lightsabers with some help from Miss Pam.

Happy Birthday to Cole!

The party ends with a backyard battle of good versus evil!

Your Hayley fix...Don't stand between a girl and her tomatoes. See you next week! Happy Turkey Day! Gobble Gobble... Posted by Picasa

Sorry to disappoint...

Sorry all... The software that moves the pictures from my machine to the blog isn't working tonight. I'll try again tomorrow to upload the photos from the birthday party. It was a big hit and I think Cole could not have more fun! Hope to be able to share tomorrow!

Quite a little lady...

Not too much to report this week. Hayley keeps on growing and changing. Doing more, learning more and getting into more.... This week she's enjoying eating with a fork! She's almost ready for finishing school I'd say! Next week is the big Star Wars party. We should have good pics then! See ya!

Here's Hayley's lastest accomplishment -- mastering eating with a fork!

She has officially surpassed Cole in the table manners department now...

Enjoying angel food cake on Mom's birthday.

See -- it's delicious! Thanks Dad!

Cole's taking time to reflect on how very old his mother is before eating cake...

Ahhh the sugar high... It's good! See you next week! Posted by Picasa

Sunny days are here again!

This week ended better than it started... Everyone in the house except Cole (and Sammy...) ended up with a yucky virus. Hayley and Mom are still coughing, but everyone is on the mend now.

We had a fun weekend. Cole had his last soccer game with the Cougars and is already excited about playing soccer again next year. Then he went to dinner and to see Chicken Little with Adam's family. He loved it. Meanwhile, Hayley and Lily met for Mexican on Saturday night. I'm sure they'll be glad when they can shake us oldsters and have some real fun on the weekends! As for now, they're stuck with us since we have the wheels (and the carseats...:) )

Today we spent a lot of time outside soaking up the warm weather. Pretty soon we'll be complaining about the cold so we're trying to make the most of it while we can! See you next week!

An attempt an an autumn pic...

Well, she's mastered walking, so why not ride a scooter?

Cole's last soccer game...

Getting ready to kick it in...

Good game...good game...good game...
